What is Torque?
Torque is the effect of a force to cause an object to rotate around a particular axis.
Torque is measured in "Newton Meters" (N x m). It is measured by how many newtons of force multiplied by the meters it travels.

How to conceptually calculate the torque of an angled force
Calculating the
torque of an angled force is not as hard as it sounds. Resembling other units
of Physics, solving without trigonometry functions relies on breaking the
problem into components. To do this, you need a right triangle. Using the force
vector as your hypotenuse, simply solve for the X and Y components using any one
of the possible “non-trigonomic” math formulas. After your calculations, take
the value of the component perpendicular to the lever arm. Representing the
force (F), this value can simply be multiplied by the distance of the lever arm
to yield Torque.
